Please note: The Human Resources Department attempts process applications at least
every other day, if not on a daily basis.
In order to join AvA, you must have a valid VATSIM ID. You can get an ID
and learn how to fly online at the
VATSIM website.
Next, you need the necessary add-on applications installed and properly
configured on your PC in order to fly online using either MS Flight Simulator or X-Plane.
These applications include either Squawkbox(XSquawkBox for X-plane) or FsInn. (note: these applications are available for
download at VATSIM's Pilot Resource Center.

Then please visit our Hubs to determine which you'd like to become
assigned to. Be sure to have a second choice, in case your first
choice is unavailable. Our Hubs are located at:
Once you have made your Hub selection, please complete a
Pilot Application Form.
The officer reviewing your application will check your VATSIM hours and give
you partial credit for your previous hours.
The final step is to be patient while your application and Previous
VA Hours (if any) are verified. This may take up to 48 hours.
You should hear from us within 24 to 48 hours.
